Fall Farm Fest

It was much cooler today than it was yesterday afternoon, so we took advantage of that and went to the Fall Farm Fest at Lost Creek Reserve. It was just getting started when we got there, but within an hour, the joint was jumping! Pumpkins, farm animals, scarecrows, hay, games, crafts, history, music, and a hay ride!

 

 

Sauerkraut Festival

Yesterday, we did our usual weekend flea marketing in the morning, and then we headed to Waynesville for the annual Sauerkraut Festival. I ordered a brat without sauerkraut and got made fun of by the guy in the booth, but I knew that would happen! It was packed, and it was a hot day, but there were tons of arts and crafts booths set up to keep us entertained.

Celebrate Our One Year Anniversary!

Yay! One year! Yesterday was our first anniversary. We had a great time celebrating throughout the day.

First, a secret admirer sent me a gorgeous flower arrangement at work!

After work, we exchanged sweet anniversary cards. Mine had a special surprise inside, too!

Then, we went to dinner at Harrison's in Tipp City. The sangria was delicious (and only $3), and the food was pretty good, too!

After dinner, we were so sleepy and full, but we headed home and got out the wedding cake we had saved. It wasn't nearly as delicious as it was a year ago, but we shared a bite for sentimentality!

Go to a Football Game

The first item checked off the bucket list! We went to the big rival high school game of Milton-Union vs. Tippecanoe last night. Tipp was clearly the stronger team (they won 56-0) and the larger school, but West Milton still had spirit! It was fun to be in that atmosphere again, and the weather was crisp and perfect! I hadn't been to a high school football game since, well...high school! It made me a bit wistful watching the marching bands especially. Ron said he felt nostalgic watching the football players and wished he could be back on that field. Enjoy a couple of photos from our night out!
